THE 19 BEST BACHELORS IN IN COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS ONLINE DEGREE PROGRAMS

A Bachelors in Computer Information Systems Major (also known simply as information systems majors) is an interdisciplinary major often combining coursework in information technology, programming, and management. Online study seems a natural arena in which to pursue a degree in this field. CIS majors find themselves at home in almost every organization type after graduation due to the versatility of their degree. Organizations that aren’t heavy on programming or web presences almost inevitably use some other form of technology and every organization type relies on management. A more technical definition of CIS majors is that they learn about practical applications of technology. That is, applications of technology that add value to their organization. Due to the broad and versatile definition of this line of study, it’s hard to pinpoint exact demand, but it’s safe to say that demand for people with every subset of CIS is most likely higher than other very in-demand fields such as management and information technology.

Here at BestCollegeReviews, we pride ourselves on creating quality alternative rankings geared towards working, non-traditional, or continuing education students. We know that for many students looking at online study, it’s because they have work, family, or life obligations, or otherwise want or need the flexibility not granted by traditional degree programs. Due to this need, we’ve incorporated metrics we feel are valuable to this type of students into our ranking compilation process. Looking for an overview of distance learning?
